Summer Bridge

Welcome

Summer Bridge is an innovative program that will provide you with a rich academic, social, and personal foundation for the next four years.

Summer Bridge 2023 will take place on campus during Summer Session II, and gives you the opportunity to start college in the summer with a small cohort of highly-motivated students who want to acclimate to UCI, collegiate expectations, and learn campus resources before the fall quarter begins. Being a part of this cohort will allow you to familiarize yourself with the academic rigor and co-curricular opportunities available at UCI, while meeting fellow new anteaters and building a community and relationships that will last beyond the summer.

By the beginning of the fall quarter you will…

• Have gained a head start on your college course work and graduation requirements
• Become acquainted with the UCI campus, gained confidence in meeting and speaking with faculty and professors,
• Become part of a close-knit group of incoming students.

Join us this summer as you build your foundation for the next four years!

Before you begin, make sure to:

• Submit your SIR (Statement of Intent to Register). You must be an admitted student planning to attend UCI.
• Have ready a completed and scanned copy of the Bridge Liability Waiver which can be found at https://summer.uci.edu/programs-bridge/.
• If you plan to apply for Financial Aid, complete all necessary steps to receive Summer Financial Aid. You will need to:
  1. Submit your 2023-2024 FAFSA or 2022-2023 CA Dream Act
  2. Complete the Summer Financial Aid application through the UCI Financial Aid website by logging into My Aid one business day before enrolling.

• Have your credit card information ready for payment. If you plan to receive Financial Aid, you must complete the Summer Financial Aid application one business day prior to enrolling.
